I have some specific cards on my Overview dashboard that I would like to copy to a custom dashboard. I have been searching around on this and that way to do it is to copy the yaml. However my overview dashboard is automatically populated by HA and it won’t let me see the yaml. There is an option in the dots menu to “take control” but it says if I do this, the dashboard will no longer be maintained by HA. I don’t want this.
If I take control, can I relinquish control once I have the yaml I need? If not is there some other way to get the yaml for those cards?
