I’ve had the Nest Integration setup since before the whole Works with Nest account debacle and I was using it to change the Home/Away status programmatically from Home Assistant. I have been using the nest.set_away_mode service. Since maybe august I had started having trouble with the service. When I was coming home if would set the state to “home” but the cameras would not turn off (the Nest app would show the state correctly as “Home” but the cameras would stay on). The only way to turn off would be to go into the Nest app and toggle from Home back to Away and then back Home.
The cameras would however turn on when setting the state to Away from Home Assistant. Since the last couple of days this has not been working either. The Nest app shows the state as Away but the cameras do not turn on. Toggling from Home to Away directly from the app works as expected.
I’m pretty sure nothing changed on my end, at the moment I’m blaming this on changes on Google’s side. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
