Hi All,
I have just purchased a Hue Go to use in a stairway where there is no power for a lamp.
I have configured it in Zigbee2Mqtt and can control it from Home Assistant.
BUT, it seems that after 2 hours it goes from standby mode to off and needs to be turned on via the button.
I’m thinking of setting up an automation to turn it on momentarily during the 2 hour period and turn it off again to avoid it powering itself off.
I’ve got a couple of questions though:
- Is this the only way of maintaining contact with it, apart from it being plugged into a power point which is not available to me.
- I’m assuming that this means it is permanently on standby, so wondering how this will affect battery life and the life of the light itself?
- The light doesn’t give me a battery level, so wondering how to know when it should be recharged?
Thanks,
Pete
