Hello guys,
I’m located in Bulgaria and we have District and collective heating with radiators. How the system works is we receive hot water from central boiler (for entire neighborhoods) and from there the hot water enters our radiators and we have radiators valves to control the heat, so:
- We DON’T have thermostats
- We DON’T have boilers ( some of us install it as a backup )
- We DON’T have access to central heating valve
Solutions:
- Buy smart radiator valves like Honeywell EVOhome https://getconnected.honeywellhome.com/en/evohome
- Buy programmable NON-smart radiator valves and program them ( can be manually or Bluetooth )
Current situation:
NON-smart manual valves. If you want to change temp you choose between 0 - 5 and manually change it , so you know what it the downside of that ( human act as a script with a lot of bugs )Now I have NEST ( a gift ) and I was wondering if I:
- Connect Heat link to Nest thermostat to give him power
- Heat link will not control anything ,no boilers / other termostats ) just for power
- Connect Nest to HASSIO
- Buy HASSIO compatible Smart TRV no matter if they are bluetooth / zigbee / wifi
- Connect TRV to HassIO
- Use Nest to control the TRV
Is there a solution for my case including Nest.
