I have a pretty new Philips TV, model 43PUS6753, bought 2019, and i believe it is a 2019 model.
I was hoping it would be compatible with HA, but it seems not, as this model runs Philips’ own OS, not Android which, as far as i can gather, means the HA integration isnt compatible…i think…I set up the Philips TV as a media player, as per the integration docs, and had some success…but not enough to warrant use. (Could not control TV, switch inputs, status reporting was patchy and not 100% accurate etc.)
So deleted, the integration. Now, each morning im finding my TV has powered up at some point in the night…
All traces of the media player component have been removed, and HA restarted multiple times.
I have a harmony hub, with TV based activities
I have no automations within HA that use include the TV, and no other ‘smart’ functions that should be turning the TV on. e.g. no Google routines use my TV.
Any tips on how to diagnose this?
ITs driving me mad, and im concerned about screen burn as i have no idea how long the TV is sitting powered on!
