Hi,
Sorry if this question has been answered several times before, however the topics I have read is a bit unclear whether it is actually the same issue I have or not. The suggested topics that are similar just referes to the HA being slow, but I am specifically asking about the web interface.
First off, I am completely new to this universe. I literally installed it yesterday.
Secondly, my Hass.io is running of a Pi 4, 4 Gb with Sandisk Extreme Pro SD 32 Gb, wired connection.
I am able to reach my HA using homeassistant.local:8132.Since I am new the number of components currently connected is very low. Only 1 Hue lamp, a few Heos and my iPhone.
The only manual entry to my config file is that I have added a weather integration. And this is where the issue is appearing. Any change done to the config requires a restart (not a Reboot). I use the check config before initiating the restart from the HA web UI. Now, it takes an extremely long time to get the web UI up and running again. It appears that the HA is running as I am able to Ping, both the IP address and the homeassistant.local. SMB is also available shortly after the restart.
The web UI however does not become available before after 10 - 12 minutes.
Now, this is where the other topics are confusing me. Some state that they are also experiencing this slow restart, but they don’t refer to the web UI. Also, many of them are referring to the DuckDNS being an issue, which is currently not installed on my system.
I have also read something about the log, database, etc, might be causing the issue?I am now thinking that maybe a workstation would be better suited due to the slow restarts.
Hope that anyone can shed some light on this issue.Regards!
