Hello,
I’ve finally figured out what brand the anonymous unlabeled floor heater thermostat is. Apparently it’s a Tuya whitelabel C16 Wi-Fi Thermostat sold under many different brand names, such as Klima, WarmMe, E-Heat, and others.
This identification helped me connect it to the Tuya Smart app and the Home Assistant core Tuya integration. Now I’m looking for a way to configure it correctly.
The room temperature and target temperature are shown correctly, but the modes (off and heat) do not work. The device is always shown as off, even when it’s on.
In the Tuya Smart app, there are three modes:
- anti-frozen: off
- manual: on
- smart: auto/scheduled
So I’m guessing I somehow need to configure a mapping of this C16 WiFi Thermostat Tuya modes to Home Assistant HVAC modes:
- anti-frozen ↔ off
- manual ↔ heat
- smart ↔ auto
First and foremost I just want to be able to turn it on and off using Home Assistant, and properly read its current state. Can anyone help me out with this?
I’m new to Home Assistant and haven’t really got any experience beyond devices that work well or good enough out of the box.
I also wrote a github issue but someone told me this can probably be solved through configuration.
