Hi, trying to setup my first Matter compatible device, Govee H805C (permanent outdoor lights elite).
I’m able to connect and begin the pairing process, it goes through credentials generation, checking network connectivity, and then says connecting to Home Assistant. At this stage, it gives the helpful error message: “Something went wrong”.
I’m running home assistant on a VM in proxmox. With some googling, I found that the port required for Matter is 5540, so I added in and out rules on my HA VM, and tried to repair. In this case, it had the same behavior, but seemed to wait longer at “connecting to Home Assistant”.
Can anyone give me some tips on troubleshooting this connection process? I have ipv6 enabled on my router, but I’m wondering if there are more ports or something I need to do to make this work.
Thanks for any help!
