Ordering Panels in Lovelace

$

I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but I’m clearly doing something wrong and I have no idea what.

I’m trying to set panel order in the way I want it in Lovelace. I select hte up/down buttons the panels seems to decide where they want to go. Panels seem to move about in a random order when trying to rearrange them on the dashboard with seemingly no rhyme or reason.

I must have some kind of “automatic ordering” on the dashboards, but I can’t find a setting for that.

Can someone help?

Dutch Gas Prices sensors not working

Dear Reader,

I have some problems with the Dutch Gas Prices addon in HA.
Almost daily my sensors stop working and give a “restored” status.

I tried rebooting HA, disabling MQTT and re-enable it reload the addon but nothing seems to work.
Hope anyone can help me out with this one, as I really can’t seem to find the problem why the sensors keep going into a restored status.

IKEA Fyrtur, HO buttons doesn't work properly

Hi all

I have two IKEA Fyrtur blinds. And they worked properly until the last updates of HO and Phoscon/Deconz (I’ve updated both, so I cannot say which updates may have caused this problems).

Now I still can close the blinds with the buttons:
image

I also can stop them. But I can’t open them. The Up-Button is always grey.
My automation which calls the service “Cover: open” works and opens them both.

Anybody an idea what could cause this problem and how I can solve it?
I know a workaround would be, creating buttons that calls the service. But I’d like to understand this problem

Thank you very much
Marco

Best configuration of my camera to stream to a Nest Hub?

$

Hi,

I have foscam camera’s and tried to stream to my nest hub.

This didn’t work well (25 seconds behind the real world), so I created a proxy of them :

camera:
  - platform: proxy
    entity_id: camera.fi9900ep_voordeur
    name: Camera Voordeur Streamen
    stream_quality: 75
    mode: crop
    max_stream_width: 640
    max_stream_height: 400

This works a lot better, but I wonder if I could ameliorate it…

2 problems :

  • black stroke left and right of the screen
  • moving on the screen not very fluent

Cleanup sensor useless attributes filling database

Hi,

I have a sensor collected via zigbee2mqtt - MQTT that is generating a large amount of useless data stored in attributes. I will ask for zigbee2mqtt correction.

Waiting for correction, is there a way to cleanup useless attributes to avoid exploding database ?
I only need to keep the attributes in bold !

Thanks for your help,
Regards,
Pierre

Integration sensor do not create energy entities

$

Hi, I got some devices that report the energy consumption in watts so I follow the new integration sensor that should create statistic energy entities to add it as an individual device to energy monitor. But the HA does not create any other entities. So it is not in the individual energy consumption list. Could somebody help how add this device to the energy dashboard?

template.yaml

  - name: UPS Energy consumption
    unit_of_measurement: "W"
    device_class: energy
    state: >
        {{ (states('sensor.ups_load')|float(0)) / 100 * 865}}

sensor.yaml

- platform: integration
  source: sensor.ups_energy_consumption
  name: Rack power consumption
  unit_prefix: k
  round: 2

Since yesterday, I can’t update Home Assistant. I receive this error:

When I go to supervisor, the following appears in the log:

    return await method(api, *args, **kwargs)
asyncio.exceptions.TimeoutError
22-03-10 10:10:40 ERROR (MainThread) [supervisor.utils.codenotary] Timeout while processing CodeNotary

Is this due to a problem on the server side? or it is on my side? My internet connection or firewalls are not blocking anything.

Is my boiler actually warming up

$

I have sensors on my boiler that tell me temperatures and whether the internal thermostat is ‘demanding’.
What i cannot sense is whether the boiler is actually fired up.
I want an Automation that will run 5 minutes after the internal thermostat ‘demands’ that will check the current temperature with that of 5 minutes ago and if no different set a warning flag (email or binary indicator on my dashboard or something) telling me the boiler is not working.
My question is, how can I get at the temperature 5 minutes ago?

MQTT Discovery - ESPRESENSE - dont create sensor

$

Hi guys, I’m coming here for advice. I installed espresense on esp32. In HA I see that the sensor is working properly. He shows me the room - workroom.

I inserted the sensor of my iphone into configuration.yaml, but I don’t see it in the developer tools. MQTT discovery won’t create anything for me, it won’t find anything.

  - platform: mqtt_room
    name: "FajnyiPhone"
    device_id: "apple:iphone13-2"
    state_topic: "espresense/devices/apple:iphone13-2"
    timeout: 5
    away_timeout: 120

In mqtt explorer I see this in espresense/devices/apple:iphone13-2

{“id”:“apple:iphone13-2”,“name”:“iPhone13,2”,“disc”:“351f438b03bf68”,“idType”:40,“rssi@1m”:-65,“rssi”:-69,“mac”:“6b5819e8158e”,“raw”:1.3,“distance”:1.25,“speed”:0}

I tried google and found that I had to run a script that would create entities, but I guess I have the wrong ones.
I tried deleting the mqtt addon and reinstalling it with the autodiscovery option, I created a new user account, but it doesn’t do anything.

Am I doing anything wrong?
Thanks a lot

HA Update 2022.3.1 Media Buttons

$

When I updated to 2022.3.1 I noticed that the ‘back’ button on the media interface no longer reacts the same way as in 2022.2.x.

I have added a button to my dashboard to take me to the ‘media’ page.
Whilst on the media page, pressing the back button would take me back to the dashboard.

With the latest update it now takes me back up one level each time within the media interface ie. from an album back to ‘radio’ or ‘sonos’ tabs etc.

How can I restore the functionality of the back button taking me back to the dashboard?

Only propblems with migration, I am a little P

$

I did a migration, have been running HA from version 27.4 I guess never had I this kind of problems.
Now with core-2022.3.3 the latest newest I get this.

I went from a Raspi 3B to a Raspi 4 with SSD, Installed teh 64 bit version for I think soon that will happen to all, 32 bits is phased out slowly.

Everything worked, when it was a barebone HA installation nothing weird.

Then I tried to get in with samba that had stopped so I had to fix this.
put my migration backup from the old raspi 3 in the backup folder clicked restore … and all Hell broke lose.

Supervisor errors…
unsupported installation
Unhealthy

errors in log:
CRITICAL (MainThread) [supervisor.updater] Content-Trust is broken for the version file fetch!

WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.resolution.evaluations.base] System detect unauthorized source code modifications. (more-info: Supervisor source modifications - Home Assistant)

CRITICAL (MainThread) [supervisor.jobs] The following job conditions are ignored and will make the system unstable when they occur: {<JobCondition.HEALTHY: ‘healthy’>}

WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.core] System running in a unsupported environment!

Well I tried all the solutions given in de forum, none is working this is it, I am so dissapoitend and frankly super pissed cost me days and nothing works so, please please help me out to get this installation on the rails again, for now I revert to my good old raspi 3.
