Whats the best way to reallize a disher automation?

$
0
0

Hello,

I record yesterday my disher progress this is what i get.

my idea was to set the input_select with one or more automates to the status. then I already have a state.

whats now the best way to make a automation for a notification when the disher is done?

i make me input_select

dishwasher_status:
    name: Spuelmaschine Status input
    icon: mdi:dishwasher
    options:
      - "Off"
      - "Active"
      - "Finished"
    initial: "Off"

i choose here off / Active / Finished, I think that should be enough and is not too exaggerated and the most important steps or?

my course is a bit difficult at 8 o’clock the dishwasher is started, with 53-56 watts, then comes a short slump to 7-16 watts, then it goes up to 2241 watts, then you see a longer break or I think there rinses the machine then it goes back to 2213 watts high it is then 56Watt and at 23 o’clock the dishwasher is ready with 1Watt, 0 - 1 watt is apparently the standby consumption

now, i want to create the automation, whats here the best way, one automation for all, or 3 Automation for every condition?

Scene that Toggle Scene's?

$

Hi all,
I’m a novice user and have done a search, but if I missed the answer in my search, just let me know!

The problem I’m trying to solve:
I have a Violet Ultra light switch. It allows me to interact with HA via an emulated Philips Hue plugin. That means it can only activate Scenes in HA.
So for my lights, I’ve create On and Off Scenes.
However, as you can see below, I can only have 4 lights displayed, as the light switch doesn’t allow for a second page:

The solution I think I need:
For me, a Scene that toggles between selected scene would be ideal. e.g. Dining Room Lights (Toggle between the on and off scenes).
The closest blueprint I could find for this was this “Simple Scene Toggle” by @panhans but as it’s a Script it wont work for me as my light switch can only interact with Scenes.

My ask:
Can anyone point me in the right direction or advise on what I could try here please?
Again, if there’s a thread on this already, apologies for missing it!
I’m fairly novice, but am prepared to have a go as these light switches were pricey, but are proving to be a little frustrating for my family.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Help with setting the language for a tts automation

I’m creating various automations based on our agenda and want to have the tts warning (using Nabu Casa) in the case of my son’s Taekwondo training also say something in Korean. Our tts is by default set to Dutch. I thought it I set the ‘language’ to ‘KR’ it would use the korean pronouncation. However no matter what I set I always get a ‘Not supported language …’ (incl. using NL, Dutch, Korean, etc.). What am I missing?

Just upgraded to 2022.6.5 and not sure if this was there before but the last_seen timestamp shows incorrect where it seems to indicate the UTC+2 but it does not do that correctly.

Tasmota integration over MQTT read-only

$

I have replaced a dead Z-Wave dimmer plug with an Armtronix single channel Wifi Dimmer. I have flashed the dimmers ESP8266 and Atmega328 with Tasmota 11.1.0 with succes. I can login on the webinterface and manage the device (on/off and set brightness).

In HomeAssistant the device was discovered successfully (I checked SetOption19 = 0 nonetheless). I see several sensors and can add a switch to the dashboard.

Only using the switch doesn’t result in anything - I don’t even see changes on MQTT when monitoring it using MQTT Explorer.

image

I might have a slightly different than usual topic structure, as I group all Tasmota devices together, so it looks like this:

tasmota/armtronix_314334/STATUS

Tasmota config for this:
image

I’m considering adding the light dimmer to yaml config manually to define the topics but it would be nicer if it could be done using the regular integration of course.

Anyone have a clue where I could look for further debug?

Hello Community - Hope you can help me.

I am new to HA but I have been able to start moving my 100 devices at home and also setup DUCKDNS. Still running Smarthings for some sensors.

I tried to setup a SSD and having problems. I do have DUCK DNS and DNSMASQ setup.

  1. Take a fullbackup and download it.
  2. Setup a new SSD. (already did the Rasberry Pi to load from SSD)
  3. and then after it loads - I download the backup.
  4. Then my system doesn’t show up anymore…

What am I doing wrong ? Is there something else that I need to do with DUCK DNS or DNSMASQ?

Please help me.

Script button - how to show state?

$

I have a button that runs a script that turns on a Xiaomi smart fan with specific settings. The button controlling a script and not a device entity (not the fan itself) doesn’t reflect the state of the fan. In short, I would like the button to look active when the fan is running. How can I achieve this? Or the other way around - how to run a device with specific settings without requiring a script? Thanks!

Help with automation for shades

$

I had an automation in WebCore/Smartthings that I am trying to replicate to some degree in Home Assistant and I am unsure how to do it.

  1. close all the shades - This is done and easy but sometimes the shades do not all close

For this reason I need some kind of cleanup automation

  1. Check status of shades, if not all closed, close the ones that are still open - This is the part I can’t seem to get going. Can someone give some advice or point me in the direction I can best accomplish this?

Thanks.

Missing Zigbee Attributes for Lights

$

Hey guys,

i’m pretty new to HA and get more and more impressed, how good it is. Currently I’m working on Scenes with my Zigbee lights.

I got 4 dimmable/warm-to-cold-white LEDs from manufacturer Paulmann (type 50064), which are fully supported by zigbee2mqtt.

The problem is I dont have the control attributes for dimming and warm/cold-white controls, only On/Off. So the further problem is, I cannot use all attributes in automations, scenes and so on.

For visualisation I use Mushroom Cards. When I put these lamps into a mushroom light-card, I can control all attributes.

Does anyone of you have hint what the problem could be? On the MQTT broker, all HA-values are published correctly.

Would be awesome if someone of you has the final clue.

Thanks in advance!

Don

Help on wait for trigger and action if trigger does not come

I am trying to achieve the following:
If any of the door sensors in a group trigger and actionable notification is sent to the iphone. At this moment a sound of a ticking clock plays warning me to disable the alarm or tak another action.
This all works.

Disable My Home Assistant integration without removing default_config

The My Home Assistant (my) integration that is included in default_config has recently started hijacking ouath URLs, so instead of the callback url being https://myinstanceurl.com/redirect/oauth it now sends it to https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/oauth. How do I either override the oauth url or disable the My Home Assistant integration without removing default_config and manually adding all the other integrations that are part of the default?

The Gledopto RGBCCT Led controller GL-C-008P is a ZigBee controller that works with HA through several integration. I just discovered that they also have a wifi version of this controller the GL-C-008W.
Does anybody knows if this works with HA?

It’s brutal, soooo jangy. Some things connect but most don’t. Some sort of connect but won’t completely “interview”, they show up but are essentially dead. I’m giving up and going back to OpenHab, which is not perfect either but it mostly worked there.

Template binary_sensor problem

I’m trying to make a movemente sensor from a motioneye webhook (start and end event). Im using motion_width data to do it. If I define a template sensor i can see the postive value when motion is detected and 0 when the end webhook is called. But when I convert the sensor to binary is always “not detected”

Hive not working after update

Hi

I’m having issues getting Hive working after the latest update. I was running something like 2022.5.x (I’ve been away so could only update today). It’s been running fine until updating to the latest version. To try and fix the issue, I’ve deleted the Hive integration, now when trying to re-add, I get ‘An unknown error has occured’ after entering my 2FA code.

I’m running on a VM and have the following:

Host Operating System: Home Assistant OS 8.1
Supervisor Version: supervisor-2022.05.3
Agent Version: 1.2.1

Reduce Metering Reports on Jasco Zigbee Metering Outlet 43132 (to reduce zigbee mesh traffic)

I have a Jasco Zigbee Metering outlet in my office that reports power consumption very frequently. See log snapshot below. With zwave you typically have configuration options to adjust the thresholds and reporting frequency but I can’t find anything similar for this device.

I’ve been digging around in the “Manage Clusters” section of the device as I am guessing I should be able to find what the reporting is set at, and possibly override it. Anyone know how to do it?

Is it possible to "construct" a single fan device from multiple entities/commands?

$
0
0

I have a number of z-wave fan controllers that work great, but I went to install an additional one for my patio fan and found that I couldn’t because of physical space limitations in the canopy of the fan. (I use the Inovelli Fan+Light switch, it comes with a canopy module.)

So for the moment, I installed a simple on/off z-wave wall switch for the fan, and that works fine. But I’m wondering if I can make this better, by “constructing” a fan device from a combination of commands in Home Assistant (similar to how you can assemble a media player using Universal Media Player - Home Assistant ).

The fan has a built-in RF module with a remote. I have a Broadlink RM4 that can learn and send RF signals, which I can command from Home Assistant. So if I have the Broadlink learn all the necessary speed commands from the original fan remote, is it possible to assemble a fan device that (when exposed via Lovelace or Homekit) looks like any other fan control?

I would need to track state on it as well, which I think could be done by somehow setting a state value when each RF command is triggered by Home Assistant (obviously this only works as long as the original remote is not used).

It feels like this should be possible, but I’m not sure how to go about it. Any advice would be appreciated.
