Apecharts: Set y-axis min-value depending on max-value

$
0
0

Hello there,

i want to configure my apexcharts-y-axis min-value depending on max-value of y-axis which is set to auto.
So min should be 6 less than max: e.g. max is 27, min should be 21, to say it in code: like this:
min: '|max-6|'
Is this possible?

type: custom:apexcharts-card
header:
  show: false
  show_states: false
graph_span: 72h
all_series_config:
  stroke_width: 2
apex_config:
  legend:
    show: false
  tooltip:
    enabled: false
series:
  - entity: sensor.heizung_soll_ni
    color: blue
    curve: stepline
  - entity: sensor.aqara_temp5_ni_temperature
    color: orange
yaxis:
  - max: auto
# '|max-6|' below does not work
    min: '|max-6|'
    decimals: 0
    apex_config:
      tickAmount: 6

Thanks for your help!

Energy build-in dashboard can't be found

Hi all

I have been using home assistant for quite some time now. When the energy dashboard came out I had no use for it at the time, so I managed to delete/hide it. However I do not know anymore what I did and how I did it. Now in my new house I have a smart meter and added the dsmr sensors. But I can’t seem to find how to bring back the original (build in) energy dashboard. Any help?

I have a sensor defined as an “enum” which has the values “Disarmed”, “Partial Armed” and “Fully Armed”. With a binary sensor you can show the status color at your Lovelace, but with a sensor I haven’t found it. Is this still possible?

Essential IoT Devices for Data Center Management with Home Assistant

$

Greetings community members,

I’m currently exploring the integration of IoT devices compatible with Home Assistant for effective data center management. Specifically, I’m seeking recommendations and insights on sensors, cameras, and other monitoring devices that have proven useful in similar setups. Your expertise in this area would be immensely valuable as I navigate through the options.

Here are the key aspects I’m particularly interested in:

1. Temperature and Humidity Sensors: Which specific sensors have you found reliable for monitoring temperature and humidity levels in data centers? How accurate are they, and how well do they integrate with Home Assistant?

2. Power Monitoring Devices: Are there any IoT devices you recommend for monitoring power consumption and voltage fluctuations within a data center environment? How do they interface with Home Assistant for real-time monitoring and analytics?

3. Environmental Monitoring: Beyond temperature and humidity, what other environmental factors (such as air quality, smoke detection, or water leakage) can be effectively monitored using IoT sensors? Which brands or models have performed well in your experience?

4. Surveillance Cameras: For security and monitoring purposes, which IoT cameras integrate seamlessly with Home Assistant? What features should one look for in a camera system tailored for data center surveillance?

5. Integration and Compatibility: How straightforward is the integration process of these IoT devices with Home Assistant? Are there any compatibility issues or considerations to be aware of before making a purchase?

6. Reliability and Support: Based on your experience, how reliable are these IoT devices in a data center environment? What kind of support and maintenance requirements should one expect?

Your firsthand experiences, recommendations, and any practical advice on deploying these IoT devices for data center management would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to share any success stories, challenges faced, or lessons learned along the way.

Looking forward to your contributions and insights!

Hello together,

since some weeks i have an error on my Synology (Docker share).

Checksum mismatch on file [/volume1/@sharesnap/docker/GMT+02-2024.07.12-05.01.07/home-assistant/maria-db/databases/740fc91efada.err].

In the Maria-DB (Docker) _Log i see:

cat:
/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid: No such file or directory
Warning: World-writable config file ‘/etc/my.cnf.d/custom.cnf’ is ignored
Warning: World-writable config file ‘/etc/my.cnf.d/custom.cnf’ is ignored

240712 10:31:32 mysqld_safe Starting mariadbd daemon with databases from /config/databases
Caught SIGTERM signal!

^ this is repeating.

But Home-Assistant works with some litte errors in log:
Error during connection setup: (MySQLdb.OperationalError) (2002, “Can’t connect to server on ‘10.1.2.3’ (115)”) (Background on this error at: Error Messages — SQLAlchemy 2.0 Documentation)

What can i do to solve this ?

Moes In-Wall Switch Relay

Has anyone got this specific Moes switch - the Mini 1-Gang Switch (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001605349292.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.4.56771802m3KoKw).
It pairs flawlessly with ZHA through SkyConnect and the main function of being a relay works as expected. The relay identifies as “TS0001 by _TZ3000_veu2v775”

The energy monitoring side of the relay doesn’t appear to receive any updates into HA. The ‘last update’ was when the relay was first powered on (or the last time it was power cycled) and sits at 0V, 0A, 0W, 0kWh. Has anyone got this function to work or knows where I could start to figure out why this doesn’t work?

Flow sensor to Water consumed

Hello,

I have a flow sensor that measure in m3/h every time I water the garden.
I would like to use that info to create a sesnor that will give me how much water has been used to be added to the energy dashboard.

I was thinking:

  1. create a template that will provide me the measurment in L/s
  2. make it a cumulative sensor to be passed to the energy dashboard

Anyone that could help me to achive this?

Thx!

Opentherm - send outside temperature to thermostat

Hi all, I’m using the well-known OTGW from Schelde in my HA setup, and it works great. It reads the set temperature and current temperature from the thermostat, and a whole lot of data from the boiler. Also changing the temperature setting works flawlessly.

I am looking for a way to send the current outside temperature to the thermostat however. Back when I had Domoticz, this was possible but I haven’t figured it out in HA yet. Does anybody know how to do this?

Zigbee stuck on Initiating

Hallo guys

I use the Dresden Electronics ConBee III Stick as my ZigBee device.
If detects my new Devices instantly, but it is stuck in “initiating” and cannot proceed to make full contact with it, so I can use it within HA.

Does anyone have an Idea why?

Short Update:
I already tried the most common ideas. I also found a “solution”, that I should keep pressing the button on the devices. I also use an extension cable. Everything does not work.

Helpers > Binary Sensor > Attribute value

Hi,

I use binary sensor to detect if a media player is part of a group or acting stand alone.
How can I search for a string in my template options ? Is there a special character for “start of string” ?

For the time being, is use

{{ ‘media_player.dressing’ in state_attr(‘media_player.dressing’, ‘group_members’) }}

I would like to be able to detect if “media_player.dressing” is in the attribute “group_members” AND if it is first in the commas separated list (group_members looks like “media_player.dressing, media_player.kitchen, media_player.cellar”). It would mean it is the master of the media player group.
How can I do that ?
Thanks a lot

Hello! I have the end device TS000F from Mhcozy here. Device pairs with my ZHA integration. But it is detected only as light - what is obviously the switch of this device.

However, the TS000F also is a temperature sensor. This is the diagnostics file of the device:

Mqtt double names by Auto Discover

Hello everyone,
I connect to Home Assistant via MQTT, including Homey. Everything has worked great so far. I have now changed the broker and then deleted the existing broker in the MQTT integration and created a new connection. The devices there are the same as before. However, the name is given twice after the MQTT Auto Discover. As a result, all dashboards no longer work because the entity now has a different name.

Example:
Before the change:
Name: Heating workroom
Entity ID: climate.heating_workroom
After the change:
Name: Heating workroom Heating workroom
Entity ID: climate.heating_workroom_heating_workroom

What should i do?

Enocean Window Contact TF-FKB

Hello community,
I have a window sensor from eltako TF-FKB.
This is created in Home Assistant as a binary senser.

binary_sensor:

  • platform: enocean
    id: [0x01, 0xA8, 0xXX, 0xXX]
    name: “Fensterkontakt”
    device_class: opening

The sensor can be seen in the log and is receiving data.

2024-07-12 16:24:39.396 DEBUG (Thread-2) [homeassistant.components.enocean.dongle] Received radio packet: 01:A8:XX:XX->FF:FF:FF:FF (-79 dBm): 0x01 [‘0xd5’, ‘0x9’, ‘0x1’, ‘0xa8’, ‘0x54’, ‘0x37’, ‘0x0’] [‘0x0’, ‘0xff’, ‘0xff’, ‘0xff’, ‘0xff’, ‘0x4f’, ‘0x0’] OrderedDict()

2024-07-12 16:24:39.396 DEBUG (Thread-2) [enocean.communicators.SerialCommunicator] 01:A8:XX:XX->FF:FF:FF:FF (-79 dBm): 0x01 [‘0xd5’, ‘0x9’, ‘0x1’, ‘0xa8’, ‘0x54’, ‘0x37’, ‘0x0’] [‘0x0’, ‘0xff’, ‘0xff’, ‘0xff’, ‘0xff’, ‘0x4f’, ‘0x0’] OrderedDict()

The entity’s state always remains unown when the contact is closed.

In developer mode I adjusted the state of the entity, this is also displayed, but after a short time it jumps back to unkown.

Does anyone have a tip on what the config should look like so that the values 0x8 are displayed as open and 0x9 as closed.

Thanks for answers.

iOS app causing terrible battery drain

The iOS Home Assistant app is causing a high battery train on my iPhone 12 running the latest version of iOS and Home Assistant app. I go from charged to empty within 8 hours:

Is there anything I can do to keep notifications but otherwise limit the apps battery usage? When running >14 hours in a 24 hour time frame that means the app is running most of the time. No wonder that my battery drains.

Messed up recorder leads to negative values in Energy tab

$

I messed up my recorder settings which led to about one month of no recording for mostly all sensors. I just realised, that this also impacted the energy tab that no longer has records for all days where I messed up my configuration.

I now corrected the recorder configuration error, all sensors now start to have a history. Unfortunately my energy tab is also messed up. I now have negative values beginning today for all energy sensors. The sensors themself (mainly Shelly3EM) report ok and positive values, but in the energy tab everything is negative.

I would appreciate any suggestions how to fix the energy tab.

Possible to show entity info & history in public webpage?

$

I’ve looked around but can’t find an answer to this specific question-

Is it possible to embed a single entity’s data/stats/history graph into a publicly accessible webpage that’s hosted on a different server on the same network?

I’ve got a pressure transducer on my water line to monitor my water pressure that is historically unstable. The utility company would like it if I could share this data with them. I was thinking I could post the info they want on my personal website, if I could figure out how to embed a glance card or something in a non-HA website.

Any ideas?
