Hi there,
soon, my Wallbox for EV-Charging will be installed.
It is an “open WB” system, which does communicate per Modbus with my SolarEdge Inverter - and for which I’Ve found a thrid party integration for HomeAssistant, which should provide most features and information.
But now, I am thinking on how I could integrate the relevant information (used kWh from Solar or Grid for Charging) into the Energy Dashboard…
I don’t know, if I should add this as individual device, or if I should add it as “Battery” (which will just consume, but not deliver energy back)…
In theory, I would consider to add it as “Battery” device, because in the future it would be possible that “return to grid” will be possible… and then, it will just act similar than a regular solar battery…
What do you think?
Did you integrate your EV Charger into the Energy Dashboard?
– And if yes: How?
unfortunately, the feature request to add a dedicated EV Information has not yet been implemented… it was my hope that this might be done until my charger will be installed (and the car will be there…^^)
But now, I have to consider other methods… [and maybe change this later]
